Infineon Technologies' XENSIV TLE4972 is a miniature, coreless magnetic sensor designed for precise current measurement in both AC and DC applications. The sensor is qualified according to AEC-Q100 and provides an analog output proportional to the magnetic field measured, along with two digital outputs for indication of overcurrent events.
The XENSIV TLE4972 features Infineon's well-established and robust monolithic hall technology, enabling accurate and highly linear measurement of the magnetic field caused by the current. With a measurement range of up to ±31 mT, the sensor can sense currents up to 2 kA without the negative effects (e.g. hysteresis and saturation) known from core-based sensors. This makes it ideal for various applications, including electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and industrial motor control.
Moreover, the XENSIV TLE4972 offers reliable current measurement over its lifetime without recalibration. Its monolithic hall technology ensures stable and consistent performance, eliminating the need for recalibration or maintenance. Additionally, its miniature size and low power consumption make it easy to integrate into various systems.
Overall, Infineon's XENSIV TLE4972 magnetic sensor offers precise current measurement with analog output and digital overcurrent indication. Its monolithic hall technology enables accurate and linear measurement up to ±31 mT, without the negative effects of core-based sensors. It is reliable over its lifetime without recalibration, making it an ideal choice for various applications, including electric vehicles and industrial motor control.
