ROHM has introduced the BM2P06xMF-Z family of compact surface mount AC/DC converter ICs that offer high power output up to 45 W while reducing power consumption. These ICs are equipped with a low-loss SJ (super junction) MOSFET and optimized PWM control circuitry, enabling efficient development of 85 V to 264 V AC/DC converters.
The surface mount package of these ICs facilitates automatic board mounting, eliminating difficulties in the past. The implemented functions ensure compliance with the IEC62368 safety standard, even when the discharge resistor, a source of loss during standby, is removed. Additionally, original low standby power control technology is applied, resulting in extremely low standby power consumption.
The BM2P06xMF-Z family of ICs supports supply voltages up to 60 V (VCC), eliminating the need for an external step-down power supply circuit. The implementation of low-loss MOSFET and optimized PWM control circuitry enable efficient conversion of high voltage to low voltage, resulting in reduced power consumption.
